Here’s a sauce that isn’t meant to be used to cover the entirety of the dough — this one is for sprinkling over the finished product. It can be a great touch! Let’s make some balsamic glaze!
The name of this sauce pretty much reveals what ingredients you will need. You use balsamic vinegar, and the ‘glaze’ part comes from honey or sugar. Preferably honey! That’s all you will need. What’s important here are the quantities for each ingredient. You don’t want to add too much or too little honey.
This sauce is going to be ready in no time, and it will last for months. Of course, you don’t have to use it exclusively on pizza! It can be used on all sorts of recipes. So, let’s get started!
- 1 cup balsamic vinegar
- 4 tbsp honey
- 1/2 tbsp salt
- Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan.
- Place the saucepan on the stove at medium heat, and once it starts bubbling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for ten minutes.
- Take the saucepan off the oven and let it cool down until the sauce has thickened.
