While our regular ranch dressing could be considered vegetarian, it’s not compliant with the vegan lifestyle. How to make a vegan version of a sauce that relies on milk to make it? Find out right here, with this vegan ranch dressing recipe for your pizza!
It’s an unavoidable truth you’ll need a substance to form most of the sauce. Instead of milk we’ll use almond milk. Other than that we also use cashews to give it thickness. With those two ingredients and a smart selection of seasonings, your ranch dressing will be delicious and fitting with your vegan lifestyle.
As usual, remember the thicker the sauce is, the better it’ll be for your pizza!
Vegan Ranch Dressing
- Food processor / Blender
- 1 cup cashews
- 1/2 cup soy milk without any sweetener, preferably
- 1/4 lemon juice
- 1/4 cup hemp seeds
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1/2 tbsp garlic minced
- 1/2 tbsp onion
- 1/4 tbsp bell pepper
- All of the preparation time involves letting the cashews soak in water for four hours. Once they have soaked for that long, get them out of the water and dry them up.
- Put all the ingredients into the food processor. Mix everything together with the processor until you get a paste. It's fine if you see bits and pieces of the ingredients, you don't need to turn everything into powder.
